How we read a project

Equipment follows the requirement

A switchgear enquiry is rarely just a switchgear enquiry. Behind it there is a building, a process, a duty and a standard. We start there.

The same 400 A panel can be a correct answer on one project and a wrong one on the next. What changes is the fault level, the environment, the metering, the way cables arrive and who has to maintain it.

Our work is to read those conditions with you, then put the equipment together accordingly: the assembly type, the incoming and outgoing configuration, the protection scheme, the enclosure and the components.

Where a requirement falls outside what we can support with documentation, we say so before the order.

  • Configuration reviewed against the single-line diagram
  • Ratings checked against the type test documentation we hold
  • Enclosure and components matched to the installation environment
  • Open points listed in writing before the quotation

Three solution areas

Where most projects start

Each area has its own page, with the requirements we usually see, the equipment we recommend and the technical points worth settling early.

01

Electrical power distribution

Taking power from the transformer or the incoming supply and distributing it across a plant, a building or a site, with the protection, metering and switching the operation needs.

  • Low voltage switchgear
  • Distribution cabinets
  • Power distribution panels
  • Distribution boxes (XM, XL-21)

02

Industrial electrical control

Controlling machines, lines and process equipment: starting, stopping, protecting and interlocking, built from your control philosophy and I/O list.

  • PLC control panels
  • Motor control panels
  • Process and instrument panels
  • Custom electrical cabinets

03

Transformers & power equipment

Transformers and related equipment for industrial and distribution applications, reviewed against the project schedule and the documentation available for the rating you need.

  • Control transformers
  • Isolation transformers
  • Distribution transformers
  • Related power equipment

What a solution page covers

What you will find on each page

The same structure on all three, so you can compare them without hunting.
01

Overview

What the equipment does and where it is normally used.

02

Typical project requirements

The inputs we ask for before proposing anything.

03

Recommended equipment

The assemblies and panels that usually fit the requirement.

04

Technical considerations

The points that decide whether the equipment works on site.

05

Customisation

What can be changed, and what that changes elsewhere.

Not sure which of the three fits your project?

Send the drawing or describe the site. We will tell you which equipment the requirement points to, and what is still missing to quote it.
